The spring selling season is often the busiest and most frantic period of real estate activity in the year, and that’s why now is the perfect time to prep for the increased activity. Follow these tips to set yourself up for maximum productivity during the busy spring and summer real estate season:
Clean up your database. Delete any duplicate contacts, update or create groups to maximize your efficiency, make sure each contact has an email address on file. Taking the time now to get your CRM organized will minimize any hiccups down the road during the busiest times when accuracy and efficiency matter the most.
Know the local market. Get yourself up to speed on homes that are currently for sale or those you know will be going on the market. Staying up-to-date on the local inventory, market values, and trends will help you keep your clients informed, and keep you on top of your game.
Check your inventory of marketing materials. Prep your buyer and seller appointment packets and make sure you have plenty of business cards, pocket folders, signs, and riders on hand. Check the condition of your current signs and riders and order any necessary replacements.
Ramp up your social media activity. If you don’t already have a Facebook business page, create one. Make sure all of your contact and agency information is correct and up-to-date on all social media platforms. If you have been quiet during the winter months, now is a great time to re-engage – consider posting some timely and meaningful content, such as tips for buying or selling in the spring.
Get your technology in good working order. Make sure contacts and email accounts are available to you on your mobile devices. Computer running slow? Now is the time to clean it up and make those software updates you keep putting off. Also be sure you are up-to-speed and able to securely access company sites and programs as well as the MLS and any key third-party tools.
